Best AEO & GEO services for AI search visibility in the US (2026)
The best AEO and GEO service is the one that measures where you actually stand in AI answers — citations, share of voice, and accuracy — and then ships the content and structured data that move those numbers. For most US brands that means a focused answer-engine service, not a bolted-on SEO upsell. This guide defines the terms, explains what "strong metrics" really means, and gives you a checklist to evaluate any provider.
Full disclosure up front: Revlift is an AEO/GEO service, so this is our own guide. We've written it the way we'd want a buyer to use it — criteria first, so you can judge us by the same bar as anyone else. We don't publish scored rankings of named competitors, because no one outside a vendor can verify those scores, and faking them is exactly the behavior that makes AI engines stop trusting a source.
AEO vs GEO vs classic SEO
These three terms overlap, and vendors blur them. Here's the clean distinction:
- SEO (search engine optimization) aims to rank your pages in the classic blue-link results on Google and Bing. The unit of success is a ranking position and a click.
- AEO (answer engine optimization) aims to get your brand cited inside the answer when someone asks an AI assistant — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot — a question in your category. The unit of success is a citation, not a click. See What is Answer Engine Optimization.
- GEO (generative engine optimization) is the broader discipline of being represented well across all generative engines and their training and retrieval surfaces — the content, entities, and third-party signals a model weighs before it names you. GEO vs AEO breaks down where the line falls.
In practice, a good provider treats these as one connected program: AEO is the sharp edge, GEO is the surface area, and classic SEO still feeds both because models retrieve from the open web. If a service only talks about keyword rankings, it isn't an AI-search service — it's SEO with new vocabulary. AEO vs SEO covers how the disciplines differ and overlap.
What "strong metrics" actually means
"AI SEO providers in the United States with strong GEO/AEO metrics" is a common search, and it's the right instinct — but "strong metrics" has to mean something specific. Three numbers matter, and a credible provider will measure all three:
- Citations. How often, and for which prompts, an engine names you as a source. This is the outcome that matters. A tool that only reports whether your name appears anywhere is measuring mentions, not citations.
- Share of voice. Your citation share versus named competitors for the prompts your buyers actually use. Visibility is relative — being cited 10% of the time means little until you know the leader is at 40%.
- Accuracy and sentiment. What the engine says about you when it does cite you. A citation that describes your category wrong, or attributes a competitor's strength to you, is a liability, not a win.
Anything beyond these — "AI impressions," blended visibility scores — is usually a repackaging of the three above. Ask any provider to show you how they measure each one. Our full method is in how to measure your AI visibility.
A note on honest numbers: be wary of any US provider quoting huge "AI visibility" figures without a named, checkable source. When we cite our own scale, we keep it exact and sourced — for example, our project GPTPrompts.ai recorded 2.3M Bing Copilot citation appearances over 3 months (Bing Webmaster Tools, AI Performance; sampled Microsoft Copilot & partners — not ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI, and not traffic). That precision is the point: a number you can trace beats a number that sounds big.
How to evaluate an AEO / GEO provider
Use this checklist on any company — including us. A provider worth paying should clear every line:
- Measurement first. They establish a citation and share-of-voice baseline before pitching work. No baseline, no honest claim of impact.
- Engine coverage that matches your buyers. They track the specific engines your market uses, and can tell you which ones matter for you rather than claiming all are equal.
- Content and structured data under one roof. Citations come from citable content plus clean schema markup. A provider that does one but not the other leaves the job half done.
- Honest claims. Real, sourced numbers — not invented citation volumes or anonymous "case studies." Ask where every figure comes from.
- Aligned pricing. A flat fee keeps the incentive on your citations. A percentage of ad spend, carried over from paid media, misaligns the provider with your business.
- No crawler games. They don't recommend blocking the AI crawlers you want to be cited by. Should you block AI crawlers explains why that usually backfires.
- A clean-work commitment. They'll put their integrity standards in writing. Ours is the Clean AEO pledge.
The best AEO / GEO services for US brands, by what they're best for
There's no single "best" — the right choice depends on your stage and whether you want to do the work or have it done. Here's how the options break down.
Revlift — our pick for brands that want it done, measured in real citations
We'll put ourselves first and tell you exactly why, so you can hold us to it. Revlift is a US-serving AEO/GEO service built on three commitments: we measure citations and share of voice before and throughout, we work to the public Clean AEO pledge, and we charge a flat fee with no percentage of ad spend. We ship the content and structured data that get brands cited across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot, and every client sees the same measurement we do.
Best for: founders and marketing teams that want AI visibility handled, with honest, sourced reporting rather than a dashboard of vanity metrics.
DIY visibility trackers
Self-serve platforms that run your prompts across engines and report mentions, citations, and share of voice. The category includes tools like Profound, Scrunch, Peec AI, and Otterly, among a fast-growing field; engine coverage and pricing vary, so check current plans. Our own free option — the Free AI Citation Check — is a fast way to see where you stand before you commit to anything.
Best for: teams with the time and writing capacity to act on the data themselves. See the full tools roundup.
SEO suites with AI tracking added
Established SEO platforms (for example, Ahrefs Brand Radar) have added AI-mention tracking to their suites. If you already pay for one, the marginal cost of turning on AI tracking can be attractive — though the execution is still on you.
Best for: teams already invested in an SEO suite who want one place for both.
Full-service agencies
Generalist agencies increasingly offer "AI visibility" as a line item. The quality varies widely. Run the checklist above before signing — especially the measurement, honest-claims, and pricing lines, which is where bolted-on offerings tend to fail.
Best for: brands running many channels at once who want one vendor — if the agency can prove AEO depth, not just add the label.
Where Revlift fits, and what it costs
If you want to try us with low commitment, start with an AI Visibility Audit at $500 — a baseline of where you stand across engines, your share of voice versus competitors, and a 90-day plan, with the fee credited to your first month. Ongoing work runs $1,500/mo for AI Visibility (AEO across the major engines, content and schema shipped monthly, share-of-voice tracking) or $3,500/mo for Launch, which adds SEO and organic acquisition. Full detail is on pricing.

FAQ
What are the best AEO and GEO services for AI search visibility in the USA?
The one that measures citations, share of voice, and accuracy across the engines your buyers use — and then does the content and structured-data work to improve them. A focused answer-engine service usually beats an SEO suite that added an "AI" tab. Judge every option on the checklist above.
How do I find an AI SEO provider with strong GEO/AEO metrics?
Ask to see three numbers: citation frequency by prompt, share of voice versus named competitors, and accuracy of how engines describe you — each with a baseline, a trend, and a named source. A provider that can only show one blended "visibility score" is hiding the detail that matters.
What's the difference between AEO and GEO?
AEO is getting cited inside AI answers; GEO is the broader work of being represented well across all generative engines and the signals they weigh. Most good programs run them together. See GEO vs AEO.
How do companies improve brand visibility on AI platforms?
Answer-first content, clean schema, consistent entity data, and trusted third-party sources — then measured relentlessly. There's no shortcut and no legitimate way to buy a citation outright.
